COLLISION CRUNCHES VEHICLE MONDAY NIGHT - Two Sustain Minor Injuries

(03/20/2001)
A two vehicle collision sent Josh Burdick of Grantsville, the driver of a Dodge Colt and a passenger in his vehicle, Jessica Richards, to Minnie Hamilton Health Care Center. Both received minor injuries Monday night at 10 p.m. on Pleasant Hill, two miles north of Grantsville. A second passenger in the Burdick car was uninjured.

The Burdick vehicle reportedly tail-ended a Suzuki driven by Paul Elliott of Harrisville. Elliott told emergency workers he slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting a deer.

Calhoun EMS and the Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. Deputy Sheriff Ron Bandy investigated the accident.

The Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a brush fire at Broomstick about 11 p.m. to the Ed Eisley property. Eisley was doing a controlled burn.
