|Cloe Cottrell, 81, of Newton died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Roane General Hospital, Spencer.|
She was born on Jan. 24, 1922, in Oka, W.Va., to the late Barney and Mary Truman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clay; son, Shirley; grandson, Nolan Jr.; and granddaughters, Kim and Janet.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty Sorrell of Newton, Jean Grose of Left Hand, Loretta Truman of Uler, and Evelyn Lowers of Spencer; sons, Nolan Cottrell of Jonesville, N.C., Delmer Cottrell of Wooster, Ohio, Roy Cottrell, Kenny Cottrell, and Richard Cottrell, all of Newton; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at Carl Wilson Funeral Home, Clay with Minister Homer Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the Cottrell Cemetery, Oka.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
