Lucinda Kay (Lynch) Powell, 48, of Little Rock Arkansas, formerly of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, passed away on May 24th, 2021 unexpectedly from complications with diabetes.
Lucinda Kay âCindyâ Powell was born on July 8, 1972, in Charleston WV, the daughter of Earline Nester Lynch and the late Robert Leon Lynch.
On May 1, 2008, Lucinda married her husband Ed Powell who survives of Little Rock, Arkansas. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by her sister Shannon Welch of Pennsylvania and her brother Robert âBobâ Lynch and his wife Roberta of Buckhannon.
Other survivors include, stepson Scott Powell and stepdaughter Nevada Powell; nephews Jordan Welch, Brandon Welch, Taylor Welch, Robbie Martin, Patrick Martin and niece Carli Martin.
Lucinda is preceded in death by her grandparents, Woodrow and Glenna Lynch and Ethel Nester.
Lucinda graduated from Calhoun County High School and continued on to receive Bachelorâs Degrees in Behavioral Science and Criminal Justice from Glenville State College in 1995. She later obtained a Masterâs Degree from Texas Womanâs University in Library Science.
Lucinda was Director of the Roane County Libraries from 2003 to 2006. After moving to Arkansas, she became branch manager of the Nixon Library for over a decade. She loved reading, music, and her cats Kali and Baxter.
Per her wishes, no funeral services will be held. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her memory are asked to donate to the Van in Little Rock, Arkansas itsthevan.org
