CHARLESTON SHOOTING - Charleston police are looking for a suspect after a shooting Wednesday morning on the East End.

Just after 3 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a shooting near 7-Eleven on Washington Street East. Police learned Dai'ana Dickerson, 23, of Charleston, was shot in the leg, according to a news release from Charleston police.

Police learned a group of individuals came into the 7-Eleven and were arguing and then left the store and continued to argue in the parking lot. The suspect got into a grey Toyota Highlander and fired several gunshots at the victim as they were leaving.

The Toyota Highlander then crashed into a McDonald's sign and the suspect left the vehicle and fled on foot, according to police.

Dickerson was taken to the hospital and was treated and released.
