She was born in Gilmer County WV on February 4, 1948, a daughter of the late Paul and Opal Hamerick Hickman.

She is survived by husband, James E. Ryan; son James E. Ryan, Jr.; two sisters, Mavis (Frank) Douglas of Parkersburg WV and Sylvia Hickman of Orlando FL; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers Delmas Hickman and Elmer Hickman and sister Kay Villers.

Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV has been entrusted with the arrangements for the Ryan family.

A service will be held at a later date.
