| Eva Marie Bower Owens, 89, formerly of Elizabeth, died Dec. 28,
2002, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Roy and Icie Taylor
Bower. She was a member of O.E.S. Wirt County, Chapter 113, Elizabeth
Homemakers Club, and a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Wannetta and husband James Kemp of
Elizabeth, and Yuvhon and husband Frank Dotson of Parkersburg; one
granddaughter, Kathryn and husband Criss Cumberledge of Elizabeth; and two
great-grandchildren, Thomas and Whitney Cumberledge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willis
Owens, in 1978; three brothers, Morris, Delmas and Hamp Bower; and four
sisters, Thelma Haught, Gladis Hickman, Francis Owens and Nona Garretson.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home,
Pike Street, south Parkersburg, the Rev. Mark McCloy officiating. Burial will be
in the K of P Cemetery, Elizabeth. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today and
from 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday |
