NICHOLSON DENIED BOND - Ritchie Man Charged With First-Degree Murder

Jerry Lynn Nicholson, 34, of Pennsboro has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of Matthew Thomas, 33, of Waterford, Ohio in an incident near the Doddridge-Ritchie-Tyler County line on December 21st. He has been denied bond. Thomas died from a gunshot wound to the leg. Authorities have said three other individuals were present besides the victim and the defendant, in what appears to be a shooting that was "clearly premeditated."
