LOONEYVILLE WOMAN SURVIVES TRAGIC CRASH THAT LEFT TWO DEAD |

A Looneyville, Roane County woman, Rita A. Parker, 59, survived a crash Sunday near US 50 in Washington County OH, but two passengers in her vehicle were killed. Parker was taken to a Huntington medical center for treatment of trauma. Dead are Zelda J. Kessler, 68, and James R. Kessler, 67, both of Hansford, W.Va., who were passengers in a Ford Explorer driven by Parker. The Highway Patrol said its preliminary investigation shows that Parker was traveling north on Rt. 26 when she failed to yield at a stop sign and her vehicle was struck by a Dodge pickup driven by Joshua Dial, 19, of Scottown, Ohio. Dial was treated at the accident scene. |
