The shooting happened near an area known as Deep Valley about 8:30 p.m.

Jerry Nicholson, 34, of Pennsboro is being held in the North Central Regional Jail near West Union.

The victim is reportedly a 33-year-old man from Washington County, Ohio, whodied from a gunshot wound to the leg at a residence near the Doddridge-Tyler County line, according to the Tyler County Sheriff's Department.

. The name pf the victim has not been released by authorities pending notification of family members.
