Calhoun authorities have arrested Travis Wayne Sampson, 29, and charged him with burglary. Sampson has also been charged with possession of a controlled substance and trespassing, including a capias warrant from Clay County. His bond is set at $60,000 at Central Regional Jail. Last August, State Police arrested Sampson following a dispute in the Walker-Gibson Road area, just inside Clay County. He was charged with possession of a deadly weapon, cultivation of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance. Reports said that Sampson was threatening to kill three individuals in a household, reportedly with a weapon, with State Police units from several counties dispatched to the scene. Shortly after, a mobile home that had been occupied by Sampson on Gibson Road, burned to the ground. |
