Barr threatens to read a speech David Barr was presented with a plaque honoring him for his two terms of service to Calhoun County as a commissioner. Yesterday was Barr's last official meeting. "It has been a pleasure and a challenge," he said. He was also presented with a "gold" watch, after which Barr unraveled a ten-page document which he threatened to read as "My final speech." He did not, and the event shifted to the annual Christmas dinner for county employees.
