CALHOUN MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT ON OFFICER

A Calhoun man was taken into custody Friday night, reportedly after a vehicle he was driving was involved in what was reported to be a minor accident. Dennis Lee Cottrill, 32, was charged with assault on an officer without a weapon, obstructing and possession. He is in Central Regional Jail with bond yet to be set. Gilmer authorities arrested Paris Dajvan Rowe, 21, and charged him with DUI and possession of marijuana. He is in Central Regional Jail with bond at $20,000. A Braxton man, Justin Garrett Conner, 28, is in Central Regional Jail for domestic battery and assault with a charge of trespassing. His bond is set at $5,000. Roane authorities have arrested Shawn Huffman, 37, and charged him with DUI. He is in Central Regional Jail.
