David "Jack" Bush, 89 - Mineral Wells

David "Jack" Bush, 89, of Mineral Wells, WV, passed away on October 15, 2015 at his residence.

He was born October 30, 1925, in Tanner, WV, a son of the late Ernest L. and Hester Wilson Bush.

Jack was a 1943 graduate of Calhoun County High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from the Department of the Army, and was a member of the US Army Reserve as a Master Sergeant. He was a 50 year member of the Mt. Olivet Lodge #3, member of the Scottish Rite and Nemesis Shrine Temple. He was a charter member of the 82nd Airborne Association and a lifetime member of VFW Post 1212 Parkersburg. Jack was a member of the Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jean I. Belt Bush; two sons, Roger (Terri) Bush of Vienna, WV and David Garry (Patty) Bush of Pittsfield, Pa.; two sisters, Marie (Jackie) Weese of Sophia, WV and Maxine (Ted) Crouch of Vienna, WV; three grandchildren, Mack (Lindsey) Bush, Erin Bush and Erica (Joshua) Evans; and three great-grandchildren, Daniel Bush, Kloe Bush and Kaelyn Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Bush, one grandchild, Christian Bush; three brothers, Ernest Jr., Charles and Porter Bush; and a sister, Marjorie Mathess.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church, Mineral Wells with Pastor Steve Gedon officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., South Parkersburg and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
