Harry Charles Davis, 80 - Peniel

Harry Charles Davis, 80, of Peniel, West Virginia, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Miletree Center in Spencer, West Virginia.

He was born on November 11, 1934 in Reedy, West Virginia, a son of the late Roy C. and Jennie Rexroad Davis.

He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force, was retired after 32 years of service at Kaiser Aluminum, was a farmer and had an interest in genealogy and attended the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Spencer.

Charles is survived by his wife, Janet Lucas Davis; a daughter, Kimberly Caldwell of Lockhart, Texas; five sons, Kevin of Sandyville, West Virginia, Kyle of Leroy, West Virginia, Kurt of Destin, Florida, Keith of Peniel, and Kane of Middle Fork, Reedy; a sister, Ina Kelley of Peniel; nine grandchildren, Justin, Shane, Jennifer, Taylor, Dalton, Payten, Aiden, Ethan, and Owen; and two great-grandchildren, Asa Caldwell and Berkeley Davis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Wavie Miller Mount; and three brothers, Don, Roy, and Willis.

A memorial service will start at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Father Joshua Stevens as celebrant. Visiting will start at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Burial will take place at a later date at the Mt. Zion Cemetery near Peniel.
