ICONIC SPACE IMAGE: "PILLARS OF CREATION"

NASA has released a new iconic image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope of the so-called "Pillars of Creation," first photographed in 1995, the three giant columns of cold gas bathed in light from a cluster of stars. Amateur astronomers have taken some startling images of space from the "dark skies" at Calhoun Park.
