Emogene Poling, 82 - Ohio

Emogene Poling, 82 loving years of age, passed away at Meadow Wind Nursing Home in Massillon, Ohio on November 7, 2014. Her family with friends Mary Jane Flory and Deborah Murray were by her side. A homemaker, her skills at cooking, canning and gardening were a part of what made her special. Yet most importantly, she was a lady with "A Heart of Gold" who was always giving to her family and friends. The greatest Mom, always with a smile and the love she had for her children and only grandchild will be cherished.

She is survived by her son, Rick (Arlu) Poling; daughter, Diana Poling; grandson, Mike Poling; brothers, Junior Starcher, Darrell Starcher; sisters Ruby Powell and Janet Whited.

Emogene was born in Millstone, West Virginia on October 17, 1932 to the late Harlan and Lona Mae Starcher. She was also preceded in death by her husband Slathiel Poling on April 21, 1992; sisters, Ruth Kelly, Lena Franks, Rita Warnick; and brother, Leo Starcher.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville with Rev. Ron Chesser officiating. Burial will follow in the Poling Cemetery at Mt. Zion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the services.
