EXPERIENCING THE OUTDOORS - Bow Season Is In

It is of note that in Calhoun, one must harvest a doe with a bow before they are allowed to harvest a second buck with archery gear. An early doe season will be in from October 23-25th. Also, one may harvest two deer a day this year but only one may be a buck. Sunday hunting is currently in for private land only in Calhoun and some other counties. I have yet to hear a single complaint but have had numerous positive statements. This is a win for the working man. Bridge Day will be October 18th with base jumpers throwing themselves off the 876 feet high New River Gorge Bridge. It is one of the largest single day festivals in the United States.
