A Bluefield television station says that reporter Annie Moore was fired upon at the scene of a slaying in Beckley.

WVVA-TV said Annie Moore was recording video of Willbrian Apartments, when someone in a passing vehicle fired a shot at her.

Moore took cover when the shot was fired, and no one was injured.

Police found a body in the parking lot at the apartment complex. The victim had been murdered.

Earlier, veteran WCHS-TV reporter Bob Aaron was attacked in Clay County with his camera tripod while he was following a tip about neglected animals.

State Police arrested Jeffrey Lilly, 54, of Glen in that incident.
