FORMER CALHOUN MAN FALLS TO DEATH IN PARKERSBURG CHURCH - Bernard Ray "Bill Williams, 79 |

Parkersburg Police Chief Joe Martin says that 79-year-old Bernard Ray "Bill" Williams was changing the filter on a heating and cooling system at the South Parkersburg Baptist Church's gymnasium when he fell to his death. Williams is a former resident of Calhoun, brothers; Gayford (Glenna) Williams of Parkersburg, Roydice (Sue) Williams of Big Bend, and sister; Erma (Arthur) Yost. The church's custodian found Williams' body and called 911. He was a US Air Force veteran and retired DuPont employee. Visitation will be Saturday, July 5th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at South Parkersburg Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 pm at South Parkersburg Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Busch and Dr. Lloyd Hamblin officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
