ORMA COUPLE CHARGED WITH DOMESTIC BATTERY FOLLOWING ALTERCATION

A Lower Nicut Rd. couple have been charged with domestic battery following an altercation in or near a residence, with Children Protective Services called regarding the safety of children in the household. Terry Ray Skaggs, 39, and Amy Nicole Barr, 32, of the Orma area were arrested following a dispute Sunday morning and taken to Central Regional Jail. A criminal complaint filed by Trooper David C. Moore says Barr did intentionally make physical contact with the victim Terry Lee Skaggs, after which a further argument along a roadway resulted in Skaggs hitting a vehicle with an object, breaking the windshield, and at some time the vehicle being pushed over a hillside. The complaint says both individuals physically assaulted the other, resulting in abrasions cuts and scrapes. The case will be scheduled before Calhoun Magistrate Court.
