Orma fire results in death of disabled occupant

Beech area fire destroys old Butler homestead

Calhoun had two fires over the weekend, with one resulting in the death of a disabled man.

Friday's fire at Orma claimed the life of Peter Callanan, in his late 60s. Callanan, was described as "a highly disabled man."

Saturday night's fire destroyed an old homestead just off Beech Road.

Firemen from the Upper West Fork VFDs were on the scene of the fires for hours on end.
