SEARCH FOR WIRT SUPT. OF SCHOOLS COMES UP SHORT |
(07/22/2013) |
Wirt County School officials have had a difficult time finding a new school superintendent, and will re-post the vacancy. The effort during past weeks attracted two applicants, with one applicant accepting a principals job in another county and the board rejecting the other. 55-year-old long-time superintendent Dan Metz announced his retirement for August. Board President Jim Rader said board members have not considered requesting out-going superintendent Metz to hold off his retirement, but indicated his willing to say on until his replacement is found.
