![]() The Little Kanawha Transit Authority has moved into their new facility at Mt. Zion, according to administrator Darlene Crane, leaving their former site in Arnoldsburg. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony has been scheduled for May. The $2.2 million office and garage has been under construction for several months. Crane, appearing before a Calhoun Commission meeting, said ridership on the buses have continued to increase. The ridership for 12 months in 2011-12 rose to nearly 6,000 in Calhoun, according to a report. Currently the bus service provides services in Calhoun, Roane and Jackson County, and is working on a project to extend to Gilmer. |
