The tank struck a utility pole, the incident causing the road to be closed.

The accident happened about 12:50 p.m. near Plant Road, a dispatcher said.

The truck was reportedly hauling salt brine water from a well.

The Division of Environmental Protection was on its way to investigate. The Roane County Sheriff's Department was also on scene.
