Born at Spencer, he was a son of Hugh and Mary Davis Boatright.

He was a US Army veteran, a member of Peoples Baptist Church at Billings WV and was a former security guard.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Stump Godfrey; a daughter, Patricia Godfrey of Lake City FL; two brothers, Michael Boatright of Grantsville WV and Jeffrey Boatright of Olympia WA; 3 sisters, Donna Richards, Karen Hardway and Patricia Radatz all of Princeton WV; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, July 7 at the Sand Ridge Cemetery.

Stump Funeral Home of Arnoldsburg is in charge of arrangements.
