ATV rider crashes over hill and strikes tree

A 19-year-old driver lost control of his ATV on Barnes Run Road about one-and-one-half miles from Mt. Zion (Rt. 16) at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, crashing over a hillside and striking a tree.

Officials indicated the man was intoxicated and was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health System by Calhoun EMS for evaluation.

State Police are investigating.
