LIONS HELP WITH HONORS BANQUET - Wood Festival Discussed |
(05/22/2002) |
The Lion's club will be taking a slight break for the summer, meeting once
monthly during June, July and August for family picnics. The club, which donated $750 for the CHS Honors Banquet, will also provide help with the event. $300 was donated to the Leader Dog School in Michigan to help with a building fund. Numerous items relating to the 40th annual Wood Festival were discussed, including the line-up of the parade on Saturday June 7. This year the parade will assemble on Route 16 south, instead of Route 5. Jim McCormick and Jim Garretson are parade co-chairmen. Lion members will meet on June 1 at 1 p.m. to assemble the bingo booth. Some merchandise prizes will be available for bingo winners and a 21-speed adult bike will be raffled. Members present, Denver Taylor, John Oshoway, Jim McCormick, Bob Bonar, Denzil Dye, Tom Gainer, Jim Garretson, Richard Kirby, Ray Lahaie and Curtis Gregory. |
