McCUMBERS DIES AFTER TRUCK STRIKES HILLSIDE - Wife Has Little Injury |

A Bear Run man died early Thursday morning shortly after his truck crashed against a
hillside on Euclid-Nicut Road. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Stump
Funeral Home for 70-year-old Harold McCumbers, whose address is Orma. A family
friend said it looked like McCumbers might have had a heart attack. His wife, Virginia, a passenger in the truck, crawled from the vehicle with few injuries.

Truck was in precarious situation McCumbers was "partially entrapped" in a situation which involved the truck coming to rest in a precarious position. Emergency service workers continued CPR on the man for about one hour. "It was touch and go from the beginning," said an emergency worker.

EMS "clean-up" equipment from scene The incident happened about two miles off Route 16 at Orma on the Euclid-Nicut Road, about 12:20 a.m. Calhoun EMS and the Upper West Fork VFD responded to the call. Sheriff Allen Parsons assisted with emergency efforts. |
