STEVENS SCHOOL GETS WINDOWS - One-Room School Restoration Moving Ahead, Society Will Make Decisions On Stump Hotel

The on-going project to restore the Steven's School, a one-room school originally located on Pine Creek Hill, is moving toward completion, according to Calhoun Historical Society President Bob Bonar. Bonar said recent help provided by Hagan Richards with the widows, along with Roger Jarvis and other volunteers, has moved the project ahead. The Historical Society is working with an architect to restore the old Stump Hotel in Grantsville, and plans have been made to have an Open House with special food at the Wood Festival, said Bonar.
