Kristi Jarvis, Sonja McKown and Erica Harold

Three Calhoun High School seniors have been awarded the Robert H. Mollohan Educational Assistance Program Scholarship.

Recipients of $500 dollar scholarships, all having additional benefits, are Erica Harold, Sonja McKown and Kristi Jarvis.

They have a chance to be placed in a paid internship program during the summer within their field of study at a West Virginia business or organization.

They will be eligible to apply for a college loan that may be forgiven if they work in West Virginia for a specific number of years.

The Mollohan Scholarship's goal is to educate the student in the best possible manner and to keep young people working in West Virginia.
