He was preceded in death by his father, Mayford West; and son Jason (J Bone) Thoma.

He is survived by his mother, Marie Adkins; long time companion Jerrie Thoma, their children Sonny Thoma, Amanda Thoma, and Jessica Thoma; sisters Karen (Kenny) Anderson, Diane (John) Shrigley and Evelyn (Gary) Dye; his brother, Francis West; 7 grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 27 from noon to 2 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.

He will be laid to rest at Liberty Cemetery in Spencer, WV at 2 p.m. January 28.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to Cox Funeral Home, Barberton Ohio, in Richard's name.
