PAUL E. OSBORNE - Newark

Paul E. Osborne, 76, of Newark, Wirt County, died Nov. 6, 2001, at his residence.

Mr. Osborne was born May 11, 1925, at Winding Gulf, Raleigh County, son of the late Terry T. and Minnie Williams Osborne. He was retired in 1988 from Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation, where he was a member of the Steelworkers Union. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater. He also was a devoted father and grandfather.

He is survived by two sons and their wives, Paul and Martha Osborne of Atlanta, Ga., and Bill and Carolyn Faye Frazier of Sequim, Wash.; one brother, Don Osborne of Kannapolis, N.C.; two sisters, Billie Belcher and Caroline Isner both of Elkins; his devoted companion, Jenni Burdette of Newark; five grandchildren, Andrew Osborne, Hannah Osborne, Sarah Osborne, Sherri Frazier and Michael Frazier; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Irene Blankenship Osborne in 1990; one brother, Luther Osborne; one sister, Dreama Mastin; and one beloved nephew, Jeffrey Frazier.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens of Princeton, W.Va., with the Reverend David L. Morgan officiating. In accordance with Mr. Osborne's wishes, there will be no visitation. Arrangements were entrusted to the Busch Funeral Home of Elizabeth. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Society, c/o Busch Funeral Home, P.O. Box 43, Elizabeth, WV 26143.
