Highlights of the Grantsville Town Council September meeting; - A request for speed bumps on Mill Street denied, under code. - WalMart making $250 donation for every volunteer who helped with clean-up day on Sept. 15th. - Police Chief Stephens has ordered material for Neighborhood Watch. - Recorder Helen Johnson advised council all financials need to be accrual based accounting. - Project discussed for beautification of town and the planting of trees. - One hour trick-or-treat scheduled for October 27 6-7 p.m. - Town clean-up day September 22nd. - Jacob McCumbers re-appointed municipal judge. - Readings on trash and burn ordinance. - Ordinance revised to remove section of law requiring a jail sentence. - JoAnn Dunn will attend payroll seminar in Flatwoods. - Second reading of 911-Mapping Ordinance approved. |
