Former Calhoun family members have been active this summer in the USSSA Slow Pitch Mid Ohio Valley Church Softball League.

Steve, Jeremy, Mitchell, and Jeff Buck (pictured left) play for the Pine Grove Baptist Church team of Parkersburg. They are the son and grandsons of Virginia Buck and the late Orvin Glenn Buck, formerly of Grantsville.

The first year team won in the Lower League Tournament by defeating Lynn Street Church of Parkersburg On September 4.

The league consisted of players from First Lutheran, Friendship Ridge, Gospel Mission, First Nazarene, 19th Street Church.

The team played 20 games and won 13.
