|Mary Jean Propst Vannoy, 81, of Parkersburg died May 21, 2007, at Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility. |
She was born in Grantsville, W.Va., daughter of the late Wesley and Susie Fowler Propst. Mary Jean had worked at Stouts Drug Store and Heck's as a cashier. She was a member of Grace Gospel Church.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and James Matheny of Washington, W.Va.; a granddaughter, Denise Lynn Dunn of Parkersburg; two special nieces, Joanne and Bill Stevens and Mary and Ron Wilson; and several other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Ardell A. Vannoy on Dec. 22, 2006; and three brothers, George, John "Tommy" and Millard "Bud" Propst.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, south Parkersburg, with Pastors Mike Allen and Bill Angel officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
