GASOLINE PRICES CONTINUE TO SPIKE |

Gasoline prices are continuing their steady increase, some predicting the price per gallon could reach $3 during the summer drive season. In West Virginia, the price rose about five cents a gallon in a week. The cost of low test around the state was between $2.60 and $2.70 a gallon. Meanwhile, oil giant Exxon Mobil Corp. posted the largest annual profit by any U.S. company, ever - $39.5 billion. The 2006 profit topped Exxon Mobil's own previous record of $36.13 billion set in 2005.
