Cue Edward Chandler, Sr., 76 - Spencer

Cue Edward Chandler, Sr., 76, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.

He was born July 23, 1930, at Charleston, a son of the late Luther Chandler, Sr. and the late Goldie Hinkle Chandler Meanor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Gilbert; three brothers, Luther Chandler, Jr., Noel Chandler and Clifton Paul Chandler.

He was a retired pipe fitter, member of Local 798, Tulsa, OK and an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Deb Chandler of Cambridge, OH, Cue Edward and Loreta Chandler, Jr. of Spencer and Marshall and Becky Chandler of Poca; two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Terry Holliday and Shawnee and Jacob Jarrell all of Spencer; four sisters, Violet Foster and Joyce Thomas both of Charleston, Ruth Chandler and Myrna Utley both of Las Vegas, NV; nine grandchildren, Ashlynn Chandler, Lindsey and Rachel Holliday, Emily Chandler, Matthew Chandler, Aubrey Chandler, Carley, Brody and Abigayle Jarrell.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 9 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with Pastor John Ellison officiating. Burial will be in the Droddy-Canterbury Cemetery, Walton.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, March 8 from 6-8 p.m.
