MAN KILLED IN ROANE I-79 CRASH NEW YEAR'S MORNING |

A man was killed about 3 a.m. Monday on a stretch of I-79 in Roane County, the victim of a one-vehicle accident at the 21 mile marker. The name of the victim has not been released. Authorities said a pickup truck towing farm equipment crossed the center median and crashed, killing the man. The man's grandson was injured. The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
