DOMINION HOPE CUSTOMERS FACING INCREASED COSTS |
(09/29/2005) |
Average residential Dominion Hope customers would pay nearly $70 dollars more each month for natural gas heating this winter if the company gets their rate increases. The Clarksburg-based company, with main offices in Richmond VA, modified an earlier request for a purchase gas rate increase. This increase is about 30%. There is also a hearing for October 3rd regarding Dominion Hope's request for a base rate increase of $20.4 million dollars, or 13 percent. That would mean another $21-dollar hike per month for average residential customers. Dominion Hope has about 114,000 customers in 28 West Virginia counties.
