Bickering characters testify before Judge Wallabee

Goldilocks was on trial at Calhoun Middle-High School last night, with the school's theatre class hearing testimony about the famous character committing a crime.

"Goldilocks on Trial," a one-act comedy by Ed Monk, was slickly presented by the sixteen member cast.

The fairy-tale character was tried for breaking and entering, hearing testimony from beautiful Goldee, the bickering three bears and surprise witness Merwin, the big bad wolf.

The cast of characters included: Melvin the Bailiff, Dennis Richards; Judge Wallabee, Sam McCartney; DA Muffinhead, Alecia Alcarez-May; Attorney Wombat, Cynthia Wildfire; Goldee, Melissa Jarvis; Papa Bear, Craig Arthur; Mama Bear, Chasity Jones; Baby Bear, Sarah Moore; Detective Clorox, Kellie McKinstry; The Little Big Not Eaten By the Wolf, Megan Cain; Dr. Cantaloupe, Kayla Miller; Merwin The Big Bad Wolf, Josh Cain; Jurors, Jamie Kennedy, Shayna Hartshorn, Brittany Sampson, Amber Pennington; production crew, Stephanie Cason and Angela King.

Funding for the play was provided by a grant from the WV Foundation for the Improvement of Education.
