Greyhound bus service was once available to virtually every small town in West Virginia, but now it's difficult to find a Greyhound ticketing station. Greyhound busses will no longer be stopping in Parkersburg following the Mid-Ohio Valley Transit Authority's announcement that it will no longer be offering Greyhound tickets. The nearest stations are Charleston and Clarksburg. The decision to discontinue ticket services for Greyhound in Parkersburg is because the company reduced the amount given to the local ticketing agent.
