CEDAR CREEK-NORMANTOWN-STUMPTOWN WATER PROJECT TO BE BID - Rt. 16 West Fork Project Unfunded |
(12/24/2004) |
The $4 million Cedar Creek-Normantown-Stumptown waterline construction project was approved by the Public Service Commission for bidding. A contractors' Pre-Bid Conference is being scheduled for Jan. 11, 2005. A State Route 5 water extension is also moving ahead in Gilmer County. Funding for the proposed water line extension in southern Calhoun was not approved in 2005. The project includes areas of Millstone-Sand Ridge-Russett, but covers a long stretch up the West Fork from Arnoldsburg-Rt. 16 area to the Clay County line. During a public meeting held by the Calhoun Commission, no residents of the Arnoldsburg Rt. 16 to Clay line section appeared for the record to be interested in the project.
