The hot sun was beating down on players Football camp is moving ahead at Mt. Zion this week under the direction of 42-year-old Coach Bryan Sterns, who has assumed the helm following the resignation of Bucky Stewart. Stewart is taking a teaching position in Wirt County. Stewart had a 19-21 record while coaching the Red Devils. Stewart has indicated Sterns will move into the coaching slot, although action on his hiring is yet to be taken by the Board of Education. Sterns played college football at West Liberty and was a former assistant coach at Glenville State before coming to Calhoun as an Assistant Principal. Stewart is to meet with the team tomorrow to say his goodbyes. Stern's will have a coaching staff that includes Doyle Hupp, Mike Stump, Jeff Houchin and Paul Goodrich.
