CALHOUN HAS NEW CONSERVATION OFFICER - Apgar Will Be Living Here |

John Apgar is Calhoun's new Conservation Officer. Fresh from
the West Virginia State Police Academy, Apgar says he is
spending his first days in the county getting acquainted with the
roads, but more importantly with the people. "I'm really looking
forward to it," he said. "I will work hard at being fair and treating
people with respect."
![]() Apgar is a native of Houston, Texas, but has lived in Pocahontas County for three years. He has a B.S. in business administration from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado and a M.S. in forensic science from National University in LaJolla, California. He was a member of the U. S. Marine Corp from 1985-1989 and worked for several years for United Parcel Service. Apgar said he will be making his residence in Calhoun.
