Loren G. Stump, 84 of Spencer, died Monday, April 2nd. in Roane General Hospital, Spencer, WV.

Born in Calhoun County he was a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II and was a former employee of Morris Oil and Gas Company.

Surviving are 5 daughters, Sharon Norman, Joyce Miller and Vickie Carpenter all of Spencer, Charlene Wagoner of Gauley Bridge and Jewell Bastardo of New Jersey; 4 sons, Glen Stump of Glenville, Steve Stump of Tennessee, Dwayne Stump of Spencer and Clifford Stump of Arnoldsburg; a brother, Leon Stump of Beaver Falls, PA; 3 sisters, Ella Elliott and Arlene Hicks both of Arnoldsburg and Leta Boatright of Grantsville; 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine B. Stump, 2 sons, Gene Stump and Billy Stump and a daughter, Nadine Shaffer and his parents, Farris and Hallie Stump.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. Harry Siers will officiate. Interment will be in the Clayton Stump Cemetery at Stumptown. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
