Geneva Deweese Whytsell Lockhart, 63, of Cutler died March 31, 2001,
at Marietta Memorial
Hospital. She was born February 13, 1938 at Creston, WV, a daughter of the late Herman and Effie Nellie Connolly Deweese, She was a homemaker, enjoyed painting and crocheting, arts and crafts, and was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Lockhart of Cutler; a daughter, Carol L. Tolliver of Long Bottom, Ohio; two sons, Harry E. Whytsell II of Medina, Ohio and Robert D. Whytsell of Cutler; a step-son, Lewis Lockhart of Elyria, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Orville J. Deweese of Barberton, Ohio and a sister, Garnett Cline of Versailles, IN. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Whystell; three brothers and a sister. Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg, the Rev. Steven Reed will officiate. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Mt. Zion Cemetery, near Grantsville, WV. Visitation from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday.
