CHARLESTON STABBING - One man is in jail after police say he stabbed a woman late Saturday night in Charleston.

James Kenneth White, 55, is charged with malicious wounding. White is accused of stabbing the woman more than 10 times with a large kitchen knife, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Police said the victim was still in critical condition as of Sunday morning.

White was awaiting arraignment after being taken to the South Central Regional Jail early Sunday.

SOUTH CHARLESTON SHOOTING - One person was injured Saturday night in a shooting near South Charleston, Metro 911 dispatchers said.

A man was shot in the shoulder near Kanawha Turnpike and Jefferson Road. The shooting was reported about 10:15 p.m.

Police said the man was on the side of the road in a vehicle when he said he was shot.

TWO DEAD IN MOUNDSVILLE - Two people are dead after a shooting and stabbing on 2nd St. in Moundsville on Saturday afternoon.

Moundsville police responded to the home around 2:15 p.m., along with along with West Virginia State Police, Moundsville Volunteer Fire Department as well as other crews.

Police say one person was shot and two others were stabbed upon arrival. Moundsville police lieutenant Steve Kosek says the two victims who died were involved in a domestic dispute.

Kosek was still speaking with witnesses as of Saturday. More information is expected on Monday. The investigation is ongoing.
