FORMER POW JESSICA LYNCH GETTING MARRIED - TV Interviews Scheduled

Former POW Jessica Lynch, of Palestine, West Virginia, is getting married in June to Army Sergeant Ruben Contreras.

Lynch plans to visit her fiancé's family this Thanksgiving, the groom-to-be's mother has told a Colorado Springs newspaper.

Contreras's mother, Lisa Latorre of Widefield, Colorado, declined to disclose the exact date and location of the wedding.

Lynch met Contreras almost two years ago at a Taco Bell near Fort Bliss, Texas, where they were stationed.

She was captured March 23rd after her convoy was ambushed in the southern Iraqi city of Nasiriyah. She was rescued from an Iraqi hospital April 1st by US forces.

Lynch is scheduled to do a series of interviews in November in conjunction with the release of her book, "I Am a Soldier, Too: The Jessica Lynch Story"

Diane Sawyer will air a series of prime-time interviews with Lynch, the first as an ABC News special on November 11, Veterans Day.

She will also appear on

NBC's Today Show, November 12. CBS' Late Show with David Letterman, November 14. She will appear on CNN's "Larry King Live" on November 17 with her family and Rick Bragg, who is writing her authorized biography.
