The Grantsville Volunteer Fire Department would like to nominate the whole community for the Shining Star Award. This past year we have been raising money for a new fire truck. We have been able to raise 1/5 of what it is going to take to buy a new truck. That is wonderful for a community, with the unemployment rate like ours.

The businesses who generously gave donations, the volunteers and the firefighters who gave time away from their families to help with the fundraisers. Without help from the community, the funds we have raised would not have been possible. Our mission is to provide, safe and more dependable fire trucks and service in your time of need. The safety of the community and the volunteer firefighters is very important to us. We thank you, each and everyone. You are our Shining Stars.
