COLLINS CHARGED IN ROANE COUNTY - Forgery, Uttering And False Pretenses

A Grantsville man Jeremy Collins, 21, was arrested last week in Roane County, after being suspected of uttering a $500 check at the First National Bank on April 30.

He was charged with forgery, uttering and obtaining money under false pretenses, according to Roane County Magistrate records.

Records indicate Collins obtained a checkbook belonging to Danny Harper, and passed several checks in Calhoun and Roane Counties.

Collins was arraigned by Roane Magistrate Russell Goodwin and lodged in Central Regional Jail in lieu of $22,500 bond while waiting for a hearing which was scheduled yesterday.

Collins has also been charged with four counts of forgery and four counts of uttering in Calhoun Magistrate Court.
